in 2007 SAP announced an Add-on for Netweaver 7.0 Portal called "Collaboration Portal". This will include the;
- WiKi,
- Blog,
- Search Tagging,
- Ajax Experience for Portal and KMC
- Enhanced UI Theming
We then started to trace this new Addon which will help us to sell the Portal product more easy as it will provide Social Networking Contents easily.
Lots of Enterprise Portal (Internal) customers are asking us about Social Content Editors within Portal such as Blog. As standart Netweaver Portal is not providing cush tools, we then wrote an application to meet these requirements.
But after the announcement of Collaboration Portal (I first heared about it @ SAP TechEd 2007 Munich) the roadmap was to make it General Available at late 2008.
But when we approached the end of year 2008, at TechEd 2008, SAP announced again that Collaboration Portal will be General Available by H1 2009. Please check the related Blog at SDN.
Now its almost H2 2009 and still no news about this Addon.
