Sometimes customer might request a downtune of an SAP JAVA WAS or they might also need more server processes to meet increasing request from SAP WAS Java. The procedure below explains how to remove/add Java server Processes in this respect.

1. Open Visual Administrator     usr/sap/SID ..../j2ee/admin/ ./go
2. Select the instance from the list; then Add/Remove Server process buttons will activate. You can choose one of them in accordence with your needs either adding or removing the server process from the selected instance. This process does not require a restart of WAS Java.
